We’ve been to Riverbend Ponds twice now. Once with the kids and once without. It’s a nice easy hike with approximately 2-3 miles of trails depending on which you take. The trails take you past several ponds as well as along the river and through some wetlands. There’s a lot of opportunities for birdwatchers and I also noticed several people fishing the last time we went. The time we took the kids was a month or so ago and the trails were quite muddy in places which was fine for the grown ups, but the twins were a bit put off by it.
We saw a couple of these guys sunning themselves.
Miss M was not in a cooperative mood, but Master N had a great time.
